Merry Christmas + Happy Holidays + Happy New Year to 2018!

What an incredible year filled with joy, laughter, new family members (my niece, Luna, was born!), reuniting with family and friends, and just being in the present.

So goals were made, some were ignored for another year. Haha, it's all part of the process of being human and being ourselves.

Started 2017 in Verona, Italy, completed volunteer events, went to Pittsburgh with the family (all 13 of us!), mother-daughter trip to Vegas (my mother LOVED it), had our 1 year wedding anniversary at SingleThread, saw our awesome friends get hitched (Julie + Kevin), my niece was born, got to be in my friend's photo project, and my work commute is now only 15 minutes (more time with the hubby and our home).

Here are a few photos to share this year as we roll into 2018.  Lastly, it seems like an tradition now to ring in the new year outside of the home.  The hubby and I will ring in the new year in Spain with the newlyweds!  I'm coming for you iberico jamon + sweet shrimps!!!

Wedding Day

Our wedding day was magical and beautiful. We were surrounded by thousand year old redwoods in San Gregorio, CA, to tie the knot and then moved to a tented outdoor reception with amazing friends and family. Majesta Patterson did an amazing job capturing the special day and I highly recommend her if you were need a family/wedding photographer.

San Sebastian, Spain Sept 2015

2016 cultural city of Europe and one that I can see myself retiring in.  Such a beautiful coastal city and home to amazing food.  San Sebastian is part of the Basque Country where amazing wine, cured meats, and tapas live. Once I discovered Iberian ham, my goal was to have a leg in my house at all times.  I'm working on my goal as a pound puts you back $200 or a leg for a few thousand dollars for a good quality one (one that eats lots of acorn).

jamón ibérico forever!

Crazy amounts of tapas

Feels like home

Yes, you can live off of bread/butter/cheese in Paris

Bordeaux, France Sept 2015

Drink wine when you're in Bordeaux, France.  Drink lots of it!  But don't forget to try out the cheese cave restaurant and amazing fig tarts while you're there.  Oysters were amazing too.  We will be back!

No more wine?!?!  Just being silly  :)

Two different roots to connected overcome the Europe bug back then (other root was from US)

Seoul + Thailand - September 2012

As you might have guessed, Seoul is like my 3rd home.  I try to visit as often as I could and bring people to enjoy this amazing city/country as much as possible.  I took my mom to Seoul back in 2010 and now I took some friends back in 2012.

Luckily September is my birthday month and also one of the best time of the year to visit Seoul because it's not too hot or humid from the summer monsoon or too cold from the winter seasons.  I would say the ideal months to visit South Korea is from the end of August to early November.

What else do you do in Seoul with a few girls....shop, eat, and party all night long.  On this same trip, we decided to combine Thailand too since they don't require a visa and very affordable.  Oh Thailand, you were so fun!  I miss you even with all the city traffic and bad taxi drivers.  The food was awesome to me (and I LOVE street food) and the people.  Everyone spoke English so well no wonder they have so many tourist or is it the other way around  =)

As you may have noticed, I decided to write less and show more photos.  I personally look at photos when I'm reading blogs!  (~ . *)   Enjoy!

I Love Seoul...my 3rd home

Celebrating our birthdays in SEOUL!
Fancy dinner night
Had to visit Yonsei again

Pet Shop

We did not expect the train to be so bad from Bangkok to Koh Samui, only for backpackers. Never for full luggage.

Bugs were quite delicious in Thailand.  I would go back for seconds.

My Thai meal - grilled fish
